Sommaren.
Tiden vi väntat på under hela den frusna tiden på året. Det är tur att vi snabbt glömmer och förlåter de där bistra dagarna i januari när det är någon plusgrad varmt ute och regnar på tvären. Att kunna tassa runt ute i gräset barfota, sitta ute på altanen under ljumna sommarkvällar och plötsligt känns livet så mycket lättare på många vis. Men även om sommaren är intensiv i trädgården så glöm inte av att njuta!
Det är nu vi får lön för all möda vi lagt ner från tidig vår fram till nu. Kanske ända tillbaks till i höstas då många av oss började planera för det nya trädgårdsåret. Var inte för hård mot dig själv med sådderna som inte tog sig som du tänkte, något annat kanske blev bättre än du förväntat dig!
Platser att sitta på
Se till att skapa platser i din trädgård där du kan slå dig ner och koppla av. En soffa ute i grönskan att sitta och prata i telefon med vän i eller en hängmatta mellan fruktträden och lyssna på favoritpodden. Räknade själv på hur många platser jag har i trädgården där vi kan slå oss ner och kom fram till sju. En favoritplats för mig att ta en paus på är där på altanen med köksträdgården spirandes framför. Det fina med sittpklatser runt om i trädgården är att vi ser den från olika perspektiv och inte bara från samma håll du kommer från varje dag.
Skörda det du odlat
Sallatsbladen jag hämtar ute i köksträdgården på morgonen och plockar in till knäckemackan, rabarbern jag skördar friskt av under hela sommaren för att göra orimligt många pajer på och kryddorna vi kan ha i matlagningen. Det är ren vardagslyx att ha allt detta precis utanför dörren. Av små fröer jag stoppar i jorden tidigt på försommaren kan vi äta och njuta av under hela säsongen.
Sysslorna att göra under sommaren
Jag gillar verkligen att pilla och fixa i min trädgård. För mig är det ren avkoppling att sätta lurarna i öronen, trycka på ett gott sommarprat av någon intressant person att lyssna till i Sommar i P1 och ta tag i olika projekt jag har och ständigt skapar. Klipper in någon buske som fått växa sig något för stor, gödslar så att allt ska orka några månader till av säsongen och smårensar bort de där små ogräsen som lyckas ta sig emellan alla perenner. Det är även nu jag planerar för nästa år i huvudet. Funderar över vår tomt som inte är klar ännu. Vi är halvvägs i anläggandet och jag ser fram emot att visa er de delar som vi kommer att påbörja till hösten. Så får vi se om alla tankar kommer bli verklighet.
Men innan dess så ska jag njuta av allt som växer och ger liv till min plats på jorden.
